"Dare to Dream" Ann Bancroft Foundation

Congratulations to McKayla Carlson-Hughes. McKayla is a 6th grader at Braham Area Elementary School.
This fall, McKayla applied for a $500 "Dare to Dream" grant through the Ann Bancroft Foundation. Since 1997 the foundation has handed out roughly 3,000 grants to girls to help them achieve their dreams.
McKayla's dream was to become one of the top Netherland Dwarf Rabbit Breeders in Minnesota. To apply for this grant, McKayla had to fill out an application and answer a series of questions pertaining to her dream and what she hoped to learn from it.
Last week, McKayla was informed she had received one of these grants!
McKayla is going to use her grant money to pay for membership into the American Rabbit Breeders Association four shows in the 2015, Isanti County Fair, Northeast Livestock Show, and possibly the Minnesota State Fair.
Way to go McKayla!
